About one year ago, Whiskey was abandoned at a Louisiana shelter as a very young puppy. He was then adopted out to a nice local family where he was loved until about one month ago, Whiskey was once again abandoned at the same shelter.  This time was different though. The adopter’s home burnt down along with everything they owned. The family is forced to live where dogs are not allowed. So Whiskey was once again homeless. The family is heartbroken to have given up Whiskey but they were left with no choice. Fortunately the shelter reached out to NJSH Pet Rescue for help and there is an open foster family ready to receive Whiskey.

Whiskey is a beautiful Black Lab that is good with dogs, cats and children. His previous owner was training him as a therapy dog so he does know quite a few commands already.  He is housebroken and walks well on leash. Whiskey will be a wonderful family dog. He is young and needs a good amount of exercise though so it is important that his family have the time commitment for a young Lab. ​
