Nelson and his littermates (Spot, Biscuit, Mudge, Poky, Clifford) were born on Sept 9, 2021 in a safe NJSH foster home to their Mama-Bella.   Bella was found in Louisiana abandoned and very pregnant when she was rescued by a good Samaritan who agreed to foster her for their local No Kill Shelter, AAWS. Shortly before Hurricane Ida hit, NJSH was able to secure transport for Bella Mama so that the puppies could be born here in NJ. The six puppies are beautiful and healthy at 6 1/2 weeks old.  They will remain with their mom until they are 10 weeks old.
